Bachelor’s Degree Indiana University (Southeast), BGS. Major: History; Minors: Anthropology and Geosciences, AAS in Funeral Service from Mid-America College, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Indiana and Kentucky, Certified Crematory Operator and Cremation Arranger – ICCFA 2015.

Mr. Lewis is a long-time, dual-licensed, Indiana-Kentucky Funeral Director who is a lifelong southern Indiana resident and lives in New Albany. He currently serves as Director of Clinical Embalming and an Instructor for Mid-America College of Funeral Services in Jeffersonville, teaching Embalming, History and Sociology. In addition to graduating from Mid-America with honors, Chuck has completed his Bachelor’s degree with honors at Indiana University and is now pursuing his Master’s at Indiana University Southeast.

Chuck has additional experience in the mental health services community, providing group therapy for adults, teens, and children; teaching mental health workers the management of aggressive behavior, and teaching first aid-CPR to both adults and children.

His volunteer work has included the American Red Cross, Friends of Fairview Cemetery, Falls of the Ohio State Park, and the Falls of the Ohio Archeology Society.  He is a past recipient of an Oak Leaf volunteer award for his work with Fairview Cemetery.
