Samuel Perry is a licensed mortician in Indiana. He became interested in the funeral industry in 2008 after being the groundskeeper for his local funeral home. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mortuary Science and Funeral Service from Southern Illinois University- Carbondale and furthered his studies of funeral rites abroad on Semester at Sea in countries such as Ghana, Japan, and India. Sam is passionate about the environment and has worked with the Green Burial Council(GBC) since 2010. He now works with the GBC to help educate people about the “green” alternatives to conventional burial, so that he can do his part to preserve this beautiful planet a little longer.
