Please note that California does not participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Consequently, the California Higher Education Committee does not officially recognize an online educational program from an institution outside of California without prior approval. Mid-America College of Funeral Service does not hold such approval, nor is it required. However, many California students have earned our accredited Associate of Applied Science degree and have successfully become licensed funeral service practitioners in California.

For embalmer licensure, the California Cemetery and Funeral Bureau requires graduation from a mortuary college accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education (ABFSE).

Mid-America College of Funeral Service and the Funeral Service associate and bachelor degree programs are accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education (ABFSE), 992 Mantua Pike, Suite 108, Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097 (816) 233-3747. Web: www.abfse.org.
