Erika Teoh is passionate about teaching English composition through a rhetorical framework and critical thinking. She graduated from the University of Findlay with her Master’s in Rhetoric and Writing in 2024. While in school, she enjoyed writing about food rhetoric and studying different rhetorical traditions. Since graduating, she had been teaching first-year composition in person and online at various universities.
Her teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of building student confidence through low-stakes writing, along with scaffolding assignments. She also loves facilitating productive conversations on the topic of writing and research process.
Currently, she lives in Louisville, Kentucky with her spouse and two adorable cats. In her spare time, she likes to get creative with knitting, crocheting or generally using her hands to make something.
