Position Summary:
We are seeking a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of funeral service including arrangement conferences, embalming and preparation, directing services, and offering professional guidance and support to grieving families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with families to arrange and direct funeral and memorial services
- Perform embalming, preparation, dressing, and casketing of decedents
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Coordinate logistics for visitations, funerals, and cremations
- Maintain proper care of facilities, equipment, and vehicles
- Provide on-call availability for removals, services, and family needs
Qualifications:
- Valid Funeral Director and Embalmer license (or ability to reciprocate)
- Graduate of an accredited mortuary science program
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Professional demeanor with a focus on empathy and customer service
- Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
