Pick up decedents from place of death and transport to funeral homes, medical examiner’s office, crematories, etc. Handle human remains in a safe and dignified manner.
Work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. It’s the funeral industry. Operate a company vehicle safely while obeying all traffic laws.
Receive instructions and work independently to accomplish multiple tasks and complete them promptly and productively. Be on call from home and respond to a first call when dispatched.
Occasionally be called upon to assist with arrangements, embalming, and funeral services, etc. Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Qualify and obtain a Registered Funeral Director/Embalmer Apprentice license as required by the Oklahoma Funeral Board.
- Hold a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
- Pass a background check.
- Ability to work a 24 hour on call shift.Must be able to perform heavy lifting.
- 2 people on home removals
- 1 for healthcare facilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must maintain a professional physical appearance and professional presence on social media, websites, etc.
