Licensed Funeral Director / Intern

Bismarck Funeral Home is the only locally, family-owned funeral home in Bismarck. Our firm does around 300 calls a year plus trade work for other funeral homes. Bismarck, sitting in the heart of North Dakota, offers a big town feel with small town values. With a population of around 75,000 there never is a shortage of things to do. Duties include arranging/conducting funerals, on call every 3rd weekend, taking call 1-2 times a week, No removals as they are made by the local ambulance service in the Bismarck/Mandan area, embalming, performing cremation process (we will train on operation of crematory), no night before visitation work, (covered by other employees) etc.

Salary dependent upon level of experience. 401K with 3% match starts first day of employment for licensed director and upon being licensed for an apprentice, paid vacation starts with 2 weeks the first 2 years. In 3rd year goes to 3 weeks paid vacation.  5 paid sick days, Additional income includes, commissions paid on all trade embalming’s, headstone sales, and year-end bonus. Position also includes paid cell phone, suits, FD lic’s fees, and any additional training if needed.
