Mid-America College of Funeral Service is thrilled to announce the appointment of David Hess as the new President. With an illustrious career spanning over 35 years in funeral service, David brings a wealth of experience and a profound commitment to excellence in education and professional development.
Broadview, Illinois: Pierce Colleges of Funeral Service (Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, and Mid-America College of Funeral Service) have signed an articulation agreement with Mercy University of Dobbs Ferry New York to offer the Organizational Management: Funeral Home Management Program within their School of Business to their students and graduates.

In October 2023 the Mid-America College of Funeral Service received a notice of Probation from the Committee on Accreditation of the American Board of Funeral Service Education. Since that time false statements and gossip have been made regarding the state of the College.
The career fair will be held on May 16th 11AM-1PM EST on campus. This fair is for all active students, pending graduates and graduates looking for a job in funeral service.
We will be inviting local and distant funeral homes in Kentucky and Indiana as well as other funeral service related careers.

With the start of the Fall quarter (October) there will be an increase in tuition and fees. Details of the tuition and fees will be made available on the website and the College Catalog on Thursday, July 27th.
Students eligible for Emergency Financial Aid Grants must be actively enrolled and have an EFC of zero (0) to be eligible.

Students, starting in the Winter term January 3, 2023, all courses will be offered on Blackboard, the new Learning Management System (LMS), for Pierce Colleges. To help in the transition to the new LMS, you are being asked to login to Blackboard as soon as possible and access the Student Resources course. In the Student Resources course, you will find useful tutorials on how to navigate and utilize the learning tools in Blackboard.
