On May 9, 2018  - ICCFA Cremation Crematory Operator Certification Program. The only training of its kind in the industry! In the Jeffersonville area? The cremation certification training will take place at Mid-America College of Funeral Service, so you -or anyone from your business- can attend.  It’s not about running the crematory machine—it’s about helping families make better choices and your company not “losing” revenue vs. traditional burial. Mid-America College of Funeral Service provides ConEd for its funeral service community while our students receive specialized training from national industry experts as part of the curriculum.

CREMATORY OPERATOR / Wednesday, May 9, 2018 / 8:00 a.m.

Learn how to operate a crematory retort properly and effectively and limit the liability for you and your company. This extensive training curriculum includes an explanation of professional & incinerator terminology; a discus­sion on the principles of combustion and incinerator criteria & design; an in-depth look at the basics of operating crema­tion equipment and their general maintenance and how to troubleshoot common problems; an overview of cremation and its impact on the environment; examples of standard crematory forms and the importance of record keeping; proper steps for identification; exposure control, and liability concerns and risk management. Operator Certification and up to 7.5 hours CEU credit approval pending*

The ICCFA Crematory Operator Certification program is presented by ICCFA cremation coaches Poul Lemasters, Esq., and Larry Stuart, Jr., Crematory Manufacturing & Service, Inc

The courses are good for Continuing Education AND Operator Certification*. Continuing education must be filed with your state, and to earn your operator certification, you must take and pass an on-line test. Once scores have been verified, you will receive your Cremation Arranger and/or Crematory Operator Certificate in the mail.
